HONG KONG, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) reported four new imported cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

All the new cases came from the Philippines, according to the CHP. A total of 66 cases have been reported over the past 14 days, all imported.

The CHP also said it has deleted five cases compatible with vaccine strain contamination from Hong Kong's COVID-19 tally, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 12,112.

Hong Kong's vaccination drive is making steady progress.

Since the launch of the government vaccination program in late February, around 4.18 million people, or 62.1 percent of the eligible population, have taken at least one shot of the vaccine, including around 3.5 million fully vaccinated. Enditem
