BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese law enforcement authorities confiscated more than 1.09 million illegal publications for children in the first eight months this year, according to an official source Thursday.
Over 1.72 million pirated textbooks and study reference books were also confiscated during the period, according to the National Office Against Pornographic and Illegal Publications.
The law enforcement organs deleted more than 30 million items of harmful online information containing pornographic or vulgar content, it added.
The office also released nine typical cases involving pornography, copyright infringement, piracy and other illegal activities harming minors. Enditem
