The 2021 Election Committee's subsector ordinary elections in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) were successfully held on Sunday, in which 1,448 new members were elected.
The newly elected members of the Election Committee come from all walks of life in Hong Kong and are broadly representative. Some grassroots members said that they would stay close to the people and pay close attention to people's livelihood.
With capable patriots elected and disruptors out, various sectors in Hong Kong will be able to jointly accelerate Hong Kong's development and build a better future under the new electoral system.
