HARBIN, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, reported three confirmed COVID-19 cases Tuesday, local authorities said at a press conference.

One of the cases was found during nucleic acid testing at a local hospital and the other two are close contacts of the first case.

From midnight to 6 p.m. Tuesday, 291 close contacts and 966 secondary close contacts were traced.

Harbin has tightened curbs by suspending commercial operations in relatively confined spaces and private clinics, and limiting the number of visitors to local tourist sites to 50 percent of the capacity.

The National Health Commission had dispatched a working group to guide COVID-19 response efforts in the city earlier Tuesday. Enditem
