BEIJING, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Domestic disaster movie "Cloudy Mountain" topped the Chinese mainland box office on Thursday, figures from the China Movie Data Information Network showed on Friday.
The film, about a father-and-son duo's journey to save a newly-built tunnel and a town of 160,000 residents from the peril of natural disasters, generated 16.66 million yuan (2.57 million U.S. dollars) in box office earnings on its seventh day of screening.
It was followed by Chinese drama movie "All About My Mother," which pocketed 6.23 million yuan on its fifth day of screening.
Chinese action film "Raging Fire" ranked third with daily box office earnings of 2.9 million yuan on Thursday. Enditem
