Vietnam reports 10,011 new COVID-19 cases, 756,689 in total

HANOI, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam reported 10,011 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, which are all locally transmitted, according to the country's Ministry of Health.

The new infections brought the country's total tally to 756,689, with 18,584 deaths, the ministry said.

Most of the cases were detected in southern localities, including 5,121 in the epicenter Ho Chi Minh City, 3,332 in Binh Duong province, and 746 in Dong Nai province.

As many as 527,926 COVID-19 patients have so far recovered, up 11,477 from Saturday, while nearly 38.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered nationwide, according to the ministry.

As of Sunday, Vietnam has registered 752,185 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases since the start of the current wave in late April, the ministry said. Enditem
