BISSAU, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- China donated a new batch of the Sinopharm vaccine to Guinea-Bissau on Monday, as part of the prevention and response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chinese Ambassador to Guinea-Bissau Guo Ce was present at the vaccine handover ceremony held in Bissau.
"China will continue to support Guinea-Bissau in its fight against COVID-19 and will continue to assist," said Guo, who reviewed the good relations between Beijing and Bissau.
Magda Robalo, high commissioner for the fight against COVID-19 in Guinea-Bissau, thanked China for its support in Guinea-Bissau's fight against the pandemic.
"China is a key partner in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and has made a significant contribution to the provision of vaccines," she said.
