The Fuligong Greenhouses in China's Kunming Botanical Garden is home for more than 2,500 kinds of plants from around the world. Follow Xinhua's Yao Bing to tour around the "plants kingdom."

Covering an area of more than 6,000 square meters, the Fuligong Greenhouses has several typical exhibition halls for special kinds of plants. For example, the exhibition hall of cryptogam is the first one of its kind in China. So far, we have collected more than 680 species of insectivorous plants from the five continents, which makes us at a leading status in China, said Xi Wang, deputy director of the Kunming Botanical Garden.

The Fuligong Greenhouses is an important venue for the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, or the COP15. It is also a base for biodiversity research, protection and scientific education.
