BEIJING, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- War epic film "The Battle at Lake Changjin" continued its dominance of the Chinese mainland box office chart on Saturday, figures from the China Movie Data Information Network showed on Sunday.
With a daily box office of 203.39 million yuan (about 31.6 million U.S. dollars), the film's total box office had amounted to 4.77 billion yuan by Saturday after 17 days of screening.
Another film of patriotic theme "My Country, My Parents" stayed second on the chart, finishing the day with 42.1 million yuan and bringing its total revenue to about 1.31 billion yuan.
In third place was historical spy thriller "Saturday Fiction," with a daily box office of 6.34 million yuan. Enditem
