BEIJING, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- China's box office is welcoming a film that highlights how young Communist Party of China (CPC) members have contributed to China's historic victory in the fight against extreme poverty.

Produced by Xinhua News Agency, the documentary film "My People My Devotion" is set for release on Dec. 3.

With a Chinese title that roughly translates to "We are first Party secretaries," it focuses on this group of young Party members who have worked diligently with a spirit of dedication in support of the poor, fulfilling their mission and their pledge to the people.

According to the producer, the filming took more than two years. The film aims to provide moviegoers with a true "emotional immersion" experience by using cinematic editing of news stories.

China has completed the arduous task of eliminating extreme poverty across the country. According to a white paper, more than 1,800 Party members and officials lost their lives in the cause of poverty alleviation.
