BEIJING, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- In January 2021, 42 members of China's 36th batch of medical aid team to Sudan took off from China and landed in the East African country.

The team arrived at a critical time amid severe social instability, economic depression, and a lack of medical and health resources. Moreover, Sudan was under enormous pressure to prevent and contain the COVID-19.

Upon their arrival, the team adjusted themselves mentally and physically and then started their work. Despite the risks and challenges, the team members took the initiative to turn crises into opportunities, working with the Sudanese people to help each other and overcome difficulties together.
