BEIJING, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee has expanded the paths leading to the diversification of democracy and made major contributions to new developments in global democracy, a number of political parties and personages from around the world have said.
The views were expressed at a briefing on the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee held by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Nanda Bahadur Pun, the vice president of Nepal, said the great achievements and historical experience of the CPC over the past 100 years have provided significant inspiration for the civilization of politics and have inspired the global socialist movement.
Bayazeed Kasi, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party's advisor on cooperation with the CPC, said the Chinese-style democracy reflects the fact that the CPC heeds the call of the people and has rallied people's wisdom. The unique advantages of Chinese-style democracy is a key to China's great achievements, he added.
"A country's democracy should fully reflect the will and demands of its own people, and other countries' internal affairs should not be interfered with under the pretext of democracy," said Khuon Sudary, a member of the Standing Committee of the Cambodian People's Party and second vice-president of the National Assembly of Cambodia. She added that Cambodia is willing to deepen mutual exchanges with the CPC to explore development paths suited to its own national conditions.
The left-wing political parties in Arab countries are willing to strengthen unity and cooperation with the CPC, jointly counter the hegemonic acts and power politics of the United States, carry forward the common values of all mankind, and safeguard international fairness and justice, said Ahmed Shaaban, secretary-general of the Egyptian Socialist Party.
Ahmed Majdalani, secretary-general of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front, expressed his party's willingness to work with the CPC to help establish a diversified democratic system to strive for regional stability and world peace and forge a colourful human civilization.
Bol Makueng, secretary for external relations for the Sudan People's Liberation Movement, said the country agrees with China's understanding of the meaning of democracy, and appreciates China's practice of the whole-process people's democracy.
Mohamed Ould Maouloud, chairman of the Union of the Forces of Progress of Mauritania, said he expects China to further expand its influence on the international stage and take a leading role in promoting the democratization of international relations to advance common global development.
Noting China's success in lifting hundreds of millions of people out of poverty, a remarkable achievement that attracts global attention, Charles Tang, chairman of the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said China's democratic system has provided a fundamental guarantee for the development endeavour of the people.
