RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Portuguese manager Paulo Souza could leave his post as head coach of Poland to join Brazilian giants Flamengo, according to media reports in the South American country.
Flamengo CEO Bruno Spindel and football director Marcos Braz will travel to Europe in the coming days and plan to hold talks with the 51-year-old, Globo Esporte reported.
It added that Souza had indicated that he is open to negotiations amid uncertainty about his future with Poland.
Flamengo have been searching for a head coach since parting ways with Renato Gaucho after the team's defeat to Palmeiras in the Copa Libertadores final last month.
Marcelo Gallardo, Jorge Jesus and Carlos Carvalhal have also been linked with the vacant position. Enditem
