BEIJING, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Sales of China's pickup trucks registered steady growth in the first 11 months of the year, data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) shows.

A total of 488,000 units of pickup trucks were sold in the January-November period, rising 13.8 percent year on year, the CPCA said.

In November alone, sales of pickup truck totaled 48,000 units, falling 3.8 percent from a year ago but climbing 8.1 percent from that in October.

Compared with the 2019 level, the November sales registered an increase of 23 percent, the data shows.

Despite forecasting pressure for the pickup truck market, the CPCA noted that demand rebound in certain regions, the emergence of pickup truck consumption trends, and manufacturers' sales promotion efforts will all help to boost the sales of the vehicle. Enditem
