KUWAIT, March 18 (Xinhua) -- The Kuwait International Rally, the third round of the International Automobile Federation(FIA) Middle East Rally Championship (MERC), kicked off here on Friday.
During the two-day rally, racers will put their abilities to handle off-road circumstances to test.
Since 1984, the MERC has tested drivers and their teams with races held across the region on a variety of terrain.
The MERC comprises rounds on gravel and asphalt, as well as conventional desert rallies, according to information released by the FIA on its website.
