NDALATANDO, Angola, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- At least 500 unexploded ordnance were destroyed on Friday in Angola's Cuanza Norte province, an official source reported here.
The action was carried out by the National Institute of Demining (INAD) within the scope of demining actions taking place all over the country.
The interim head of INAD in Cuanza Norte, Garcia Numa, explained that the ordnance were collected in the province from June to September 2021.
The ordnance were found during the course of demining actions from the places where new electricity transmission lines and water supply systems are being built. Enditem
