5.6-magnitude quake hits 156 km SSW of Bristol Island, South Sandwich Islands: USGS

NEW YORK, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- A 5.6-magnitude earthquake jolted 156 km SSW of Bristol Island, South Sandwich Islands at 22:14:51 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 60.4077 degrees south latitude and 27.1095 degrees west longitude.
