MADRID, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Spanish share values rose by 0.46 percent on Friday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 opening at 9,518.50 points and closing at 9,562.00 points.
Shares of 21 of the companies trading on the Ibex-35 gained value, while shares in 12 companies went down in price and two remained unchanged, as the Ibex-35 recorded gains for the first time after four consecutive days of moderate falls in share values.
Friday's best results were presented by cellulose and clean energy producer, ENCE Energia y Celulosa, with a 3.43 percent rise in share prices. Shares in software provider for the holiday sector, Amadeus IT Group, went up by 2.78 percent and the share price of telecommunications company Masmovil Ibercom, climbed by 2.45 percent.
The day's worst performer was the Melia Hotels International group with a 2.67-percent drop in share prices, while shares in the savings banks, Bankinter and BBVA went down by 2.40 and 1.22 percent respectively.
