MOSCOW, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- A woman in northwestern Russia allegedly stabbed her husband to death after he accused her of preparing the wrong food for dinner, local authorities said Tuesday.
On Sunday evening, the 54-year-old husband and his 52-year-old wife were at home with guests in the city of Koryazhma. After the husband made remarks that the wife prepared the wrong dish, they had a quarrel.
The man hit his wife on the lips with his hand, and she in a fit of anger grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the chest.
The guests called an ambulance, but the victim died before doctors arrived.
The wife has been detained on suspicion of murder. ■
