LONDON, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.51 percent, or 38.09 points, to close at 7,466.70 points.
Smurfit Kappa Group, a leading corrugated packaging company, soared 3.23 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Standard Life Aberdeen and Ferguson increased by 1.93 percent and 1.72 percent, respectively.
NMC Health, a private healthcare services provider, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 22.22 percent. Hargreaves Lansdown, a financial service company, dropped 6.09 percent. Antofagasta, a copper mining company, fell 3.61 percent. Enditem
