TEHRAN, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Iran's spokesman for Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saeed Khatibzadeh, on Friday condemned the recent deadly terrorist attacks at the Kabul airport, the ministry's website reported.

He expressed condolences over the terrorist attacks in Afghanistan which happened a day ago, Khatibzadeh was quoted as saying.

He hoped that with the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan as soon as possible, the lives and property of the people will be protected by the relevant organization in the country.

Two suicide bombs attacked Thursday the Kabul airport where thousands of people were waiting for evacuation flights, killing over 100 people, including 13 U.S. soldiers.

Nearly 6,000 U.S. troops have been deployed at the Kabul airport to secure the airlifting operation since the Taliban's takeover of Kabul on Aug. 15. Enditem
