KIEV, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed the cabinet to seek out investment for a hydrogen pipeline project linking Ukraine with the European Union (EU), local media reported Monday.
In his presidential decree, Zelensky said the Ukrainian government will adopt the country's hydrogen strategy by the end of 2021, according to Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
According to Ukraine's State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, the East European country has the potential to produce up to 5.5 billion cubic meters of green hydrogen per year.
Meanwhile, local experts suggest that Ukraine upgrade its gas transportation system for exporting and storing hydrogen. Enditem
