KHARTOUM, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- China's Chery Automobile Company displayed a series of new cars in Sudan's capital Khartoum, marking its foray into the Sudanese market.

Chinese Ambassador to Sudan Ma Xinmin extended warm congratulations on the successful cooperation between Chery and Sudan's GIAD Engineering Industrial Group, and welcomed the arrival of the first batch of 300 Chery cars in Sudan as well as the beginning of assembling.

Sudan's Under-Secretary of Ministry of Industry Ismaay Shamdin said that China has been Sudan's largest trading partner for many years in a row, and the entry of China's Chery Automobile into the Sudanese market will promote the development of the country's auto industry as well as provide more options for Sudan's consumers.
