AMMAN, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- King Abdullah II of Jordan on Tuesday met with Britain's Prince Charles, stressing the importance of coordinating on issues of mutual concern between the two countries.
The king appreciated Britain's support for the development of Jordan, including response to the Syrian refugee crisis, according to a statement by the Royal Hashemite Court.
The Jordanian leader also commended Britain's efforts to counter climate change, stressing Jordan's keenness to contribute to these efforts, as well as the kingdom's readiness to collaborate with Britain in enhancing food security and mitigating the economic impact of COVID-19.
Prince Charles expressed appreciation for Jordan's efforts to host refugees from across the region, saying that Jordan is unbelievably hospitable and generous.
Referring to the Glasgow United Nations climate change conference, Charles said that it is time for actions on the ground. Enditem
