TEHRAN, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh criticized on Monday a "joint article" by British and Israeli foreign ministers, as the world powers and Iran are expected to reconvene in Austria's capital Vienna later in the day.

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and her Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid wrote in the Telegraph newspaper on Sunday that they will work together to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power.

"When the British Foreign Secretary writes, on the eve of Vienna talks ... you realize that at least some European countries are not coming to Vienna with the necessary will to lift (anti-Iran) sanctions," said Khatibzadeh.

"This showed that some of these countries are not serious, and seeking to create the conditions for prolonging the negotiations," the Iranian spokesman told reporters during his weekly press conference.

Iran and the remaining parties to the 2015 nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), with indirect involvement of the United States who quit the accord in 2018, will resume their talks on the revival of JCPOA on Monday after about six months of hiatus. Enditem
