Mongolia reports 204 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths

ULAN BATOR, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia on Sunday reported 204 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, raising the national tally to 388,179.

Four of the latest confirmed cases were imported from abroad, and the remaining were local transmissions, the country's health ministry said.

Meanwhile, no new deaths from the disease were recorded in the past day, so the country's COVID-19 death toll remains at 1,970, it said.

Currently, 2,367 COVID-19 patients are being hospitalized across the country, while 4,373 asymptomatic or mild patients are receiving home-based care, according to the ministry.

Roughly 66 percent of Mongolia's population of 3.4 million has received two COVID-19 vaccine doses, while 850,958 have received a booster. Enditem
