5.2-magnitude quake hits L'Esperance Rock, New Zealand: USGS

NEW YORK, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 jolted 59 km SSE of L'Esperance Rock, New Zealand, at 20:50:51 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 31.9056 degrees south latitude and 178.5948 degrees west longitude.
