HANOI, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's Ministry of Health on Friday night confirmed a new case of COVID-19, the 17th case in the country, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The new case is a 26-year-old female who earlier visited her sister in Britain and then traveled to Italy before returning to Hanoi on March 1, the news agency reported.

Vietnam had earlier confirmed 16 cases of COVID-19, all of whom have been cured and discharged from hospital, and so far has 101 suspected cases, according to the health ministry.
