Dollar changes hands around the 106.38 yen level in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, May 8 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands around the 106.38 yen level in early deals in Tokyo on Friday.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 106.38-39 yen compared with 106.19-29 yen in New York and 106.35-36 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0837-0837 dollars and 115.27-28 yen against 1.0828-0838 dollars and 115.09-19 yen in New York and 1.0798-0800 dollars and 114.84-88 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
