LISBON, March 8 (Xinhua) -- An accident during a car race of Portugal Mountain Championship -- "Rampa de Murca" in Vila Real killed two people and injured several others, Portuguese Lusa News Agency reported on Sunday.
According to the Vila Real District Operations Command (CDOS), the accident happened on Sunday afternoon, when driver of the Famalicense car Luis Silva "left the road and ran over several spectators," causing the deaths of two people and injuring four others, one of whom was a fireman who provided support for the race.
A report by the University FM radio claimed that seven people were injured, some of whom were in serious condition.
